From March 1st to 4th, the event series "Arts and Music" presents the street photography exhibition with the provocative title "ALLES NUR GEKLAUT – EVERYTHING JUST STOLEN" in the Pop Up Galerie in Pestalozzistraße 14 in Munich.

The photo exhibition with works from Andreas Geisinger focuses on the fine boundaries between authenticity and performance in everyday life. It reveals how we wear masks, dictate or assume roles, and stage ourselves in the great spectacle of life.

Inspired by Erving Goffman's work The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life, Photographer and Sociologist Andreas Geisinger reflects in his works the theatrical dynamics of everyday life – in which each individual can be both actor or spectator in the ongoing drama of the city. Each photograph seeks to reveal authentic moments and hidden stories, inviting the viewer to reflect on the interplay of representation and reality in the urban environment. Because in the end: Isn't EVERYTHING JUST STOLEN?

Andreas Geisinger, who lived in Munich for many years, spent several years in Cape Town and now lives in Montreux and Genoa, has already made a name for himself internationally. His photographic work has been exhibited in galleries in Zurich, Geneva, Milan and Genoa. He has been a finalist in several international awards and received an Honorable Mention at the prestigious PISPA – Paris International Street Photo Award in 2024. In the same year, he published his first photozine. Recently he has been invited by Maurizio Galimberti and The Street Soup Gallery (Milan) to participate in and exhibit the FACES Portrait 2025 Award on March 11 at Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Duomo, Milan).  

The exhibition is part of the event series "Arts and Music", initiated by cameraman and DJ Nader Saffari and the owner of the pop-up gallery Glockenbach, Nick Mannu. Both initiators invite to the vernissage with the presence of Andreas Geisinger on March 1, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. (until midnight).
